Electric Vehicle Charging Solutions App
Challenge Design an app to allow electric vehicle drivers to easily locate charging points and receive directions along with service information and news updates.
Solution Adhering to Npowers' brand guidelines, a logo and Design System were created for the app. On launching the app, the user is instructed to connect the app to their vehicle and are then presented with a summary of their vehicles' power usage and remaining battery life. From here the user can select 'Charge Points' to see a list and map view of charging points. The map view defaults to the nearest charging point location, but can be switched by selecting a different location from the list. Map view can be expanded by pulling the central icon down. By selecting 'Navigate', a GPS system directs the user to their selected location. On selecting 'News', the user is presented with news articles relating to Npowers' electric vehicle activity.
